Approximately 50 refugees have died in Northeastern Nigeria after the military erroneously bombed their haven.
Over 100 others were wounded in the Tuesday morning incident.
The military had targeted Kala, a Boko Haram base, but ended up hitting the wrong target.
Among the casualties included aid workers, Nigeria Red Cross confirmed.
“We regret that among the casualties of today’s air strikes in Ran, there are 6 Nigerian RC members killed and 13 wounded,” they said on Twitter.
The camp was home to about 25,000 refugees.
