Members will pay KES 20 in order to obtain and start using the card, Citizen News reports.

The card contains member’s details including mobile number which will be used for card activation. Card holders will be required to send a text message to the party headquarters with full names, identity card number and card number for verification.

Members of other parties will also be allowed to migrate to Jubilee via the card.

Head of the Party secretariat, Raphael Tuju, said the card will ensure that members do not vote twice.

“Once you have voted, your number is captured in the system and so we will be able to tell that you cannot vote again.”
